The project focuses on the thermal characterization of novel low-dimensional carbon–carbon composites, particularly those composed of expanded graphite (EG) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Recent advancements in production techniques allow for precise control over size distribution, enabling deeper exploration of temperature-dependent thermal behaviors.
Key goals include analyzing how structural factors—such as oxygen concentration, surface area, and CNT size distribution—influence heat capacity and related thermal phenomena. The project seeks to identify mechanisms behind heat transfer irregularities, phase transitions, and interfacial effects within these hybrid materials.
